Product Description

Accademia Oil Colors are formulated with non-yellowing oils (poppy seed oil and safflower oil, carefully calibrated for each shade) and pure pigments. Their main characteristic is a long drying time, which varies depending on temperature and relative humidity. All colors are fully intermixable.

Recommended Use

• The paint mixture is dense yet easy to handle, whether applied with a palette knife or brush.
• A thin layer dries completely within a few days. With thicker applications, drying time depends on the thickness and environmental conditions.
• On the palette, the paint remains soft and workable for an extended period.
• Suitable for all oil painting techniques.
• Once the painting is finished, apply a final varnish to protect it from external agents and store in a dry, well-ventilated place.

Lightfastness

All shades have the highest degree of lightfastness. The bright, intense tones remain unchanged from wet to dry.

Durability

Accademia Oil Colors have excellent longevity, maintaining their color tone over time. For best preservation, display paintings in naturally lit environments and avoid direct exposure to strong light or heat sources.

Supports

Can be applied to any support, allowing the use of all oil painting and decorative techniques.

Dilution

Ready to use. If desired, they can be diluted with:

• Oil painting mediums
