Tempera Fine

Description

Tempera is still the most used technique for the production of decals and scenography. Our colors are created with pure pigments, dispersed in a binder consisting of a solution of gum arabic and glucose. Gouache tempera colors change tone a lot from wet to dry, because the particles on the surface are not covered by the binder, once the film has dried, they are directly in contact with the air. When the painting is finished it is possible to cover it with a layer of varnish (Damar varnish) to reproduce the effect of oil painting. Since it is easy to remove with water, gouache tempera can be used for the restoration of lacquers (colored varnishes) and paintings.
