Acritex Fabric Paints

Description

• Very fine emulsion based on acrylic binders.
• Especially suitable for painting and printing on white or cream-colored fabrics.
• Once dry, the paint forms a thin, soft layer resistant to washing.
• Durability can be improved by ironing the painted fabric on the reverse side with a moderately hot iron.
• The first wash is recommended 15–20 days after painting.
• Best suited for natural fibers such as cotton and linen, provided they are not starched.
• For other types of fibers, preliminary testing is advised.
• If the fabric is starched, wash it with neutral soap to remove starch before painting.
• The color palette includes classic, metallic, and fluorescent shades.
• Brushes should be washed immediately after use with hot water and soap.

Application

• Shake the bottle before use.
• The product is ready to use.
• It is recommended to apply pure colors to avoid spreading or staining.

Freehand Work

• For detailed designs, first sketch with a pencil.
• Outline the sketch with a light Acritex color to create a barrier.
• Allow to dry for several hours.
• Continue painting with pure colors in thin layers, starting with lighter shades and then applying darker ones.

Stencil Technique

• Spray stencil adhesive on the stencil and wait 5 minutes until tacky.
• Place the stencil on the fabric, pressing lightly.
• Alternatively, secure the stencil with masking tape.
• Pour paint into a small container, then use a sponge or stencil brush to fill in the stencil openings.

Color Fixation

• After completing the design, allow 24 hours of drying.
• For greater durability, iron the fabric at a temperature suitable for the fiber type.

Physical Properties

• Semi-dense consistency.
• Odor: strong, characteristic of acrylic resin.

Shelf Life

• Store in tightly closed packaging, away from excessive heat or cold.

Dilution

• Ready to use.
• If necessary, dilute with a small amount of water.
